The Beast in the Yeast

Welcome back well yes we have weird happenings once again that's no surprise!

In a hermetically sealed jar it seems our sample Lazarus has once again mysteriously lost mass to the tune of -4g.

Our overheating issue has successfully been resolved with incubation temperature being 25.9 C. A difference of +1.4 C since our check last night feeling confident and frisky I bet the little zomblets don't have my face again!

The external temperature of the vessel was 23.5C and our fiendish creation was a perfect 25.7 C cozy and warm but juuuusssst right!

Brix was at 10% with only 0.002 + in sugar since our initial test yesterday and subsequently down 1% and 0.005 SG since our final observations last night.  Our pH as usual was in great shape so we fed our monster some 1/8 cup of sugar and put it back to bed.

Above: yesterday this was about 1 inch thick with unused sugar today about 1/8 of an inch

This accounts for our mass differential.

Theoretically owing to the consumption of sugar.

Tomorrow I'll have some cool pictures with more analysis but a quick note on preparation:

Here we used the end cap of our microscope to hold the sample

The container is rigorously cleaned with alcohol and all tools are as well.

The sample is left out to evaporate overnight and through the next day. some might

Question our method but read our posts or stick around- tomorrow's pictures will tell a 1000 words.
