RL5/GENNY Updates - Day 15-Cycle 2

Last night we found that our samples were very slowly reproducing but curiously , the sugar levels were rising. At first I attributed this to lag but more and more I'd thought about it and after pouring 9vee the data I soon began to realize I was dealing with a super saturated agar medium. My yeast was growing but it was processing more sugar than it could digest so that's why there was extra sugar being converted every day.

More experimental testing is needed damn ! Well now I'll have to try that!
According to protocol my yeast samples needed a "bath"
A bath is where liquid (Yes there's yeast in there too) is removed and a diluted sugar/water solution replaces the liquid. This ensures that some of the mutated/dead Yeast is removed and that alcohol level is held in check as yeast won't survive in an environment too high in alcohol . We want a strain that can handle high alcohol content but that comes later in say another 300 generations or so.
RL5 Had 300 ML of liquid extracted and had 300 ML of the liquid agar solution substituted.
Liquid media recipe
400ml total volume
200 ml water
200 ML apple juice from concentrate
4 tablespoons sugar
TEMP 27.2 C
BRIX 14%
1.059
I also added an additional 100 ML of water to RL5 and 1/2 crushed multivitamin tablet with 4 drops of concentrated liquid plant fertilizer.
DAY 14-RL5 IMAGERY

Highlighted blue sample is yeast cell appears slightly mutated

Bottom centre -healthy cell is a bit grayed out but still visible

At far right blue yeast cell happy and healthy!

Almost ready to schmoo!
RL5 STATS

Onto Genny!
We replaced 210 ML of her liquid agar medium with 150 ml sugar agar solution prepared as aforementioned with 60 ML water to balance the remainder.
...added 1/2 vitamin
...4 drops plant fertilizer
We took a microscope sample for tomorrow so further observations to come.
